Conducting Step 6 - Read Aloud

  1. In this step, you can select which content the students read aloud. As in Step 3, choose one of the options by clicking it. The system will load the selected content in the Slide Controller and remind you which option has been chosen by displaying a green checkmark next to it. 31-ss1 step 6.png

If the Digital Readers are available for your product, the relevant stories will be displayed as reading options. For SS2 and Secondary 1, selecting a book also populates optional post-reading activities below the reading options. digital reading options step 6.png

  3. The Slide Controller will display the number of slides in the set. Use the arrows to navigate among slides.

     Tip

When you open a subsequent activity, you will not immediately see its content if the End of Level slide is still displayed. To see the slide set for the new activity, click the back arrow and you'll be taken to the last slide of the new activity's slide set.  rewind the end of level slide.png
If you wish to begin with the first slide in the new slide set, click the blue back arrow to "rewind" back to slide one.

If you want to undo a selection, first make a new selection. Then the Undo a Choice icon (blue arrow in a circle) will appear. Click Undo, hover over the activity you wish to remove, and then click the red X that appears upon hovering.

     Caution

If you exit your web browser or otherwise exit your session without ending it first, the session will remain open. You cannot begin a new session in any product while a prior session is still in progress.

  6. After ending the session, the Class Level Completed page will display automatically. That is where you can view the attendance data for the ended session.
