Screenshots are from SS1 unless otherwise noted. The user experience is largely the same in all three programs.
There are two ways to start a teaching session in Sonday System. Click on the applicable tab to view the instructions from your desired starting point.
To start a teaching session from your Teaching Dashboard:
- Log in to teacher.imaginesonday.com.
- From the Teaching Dashboard's Classes tab, click Details in the applicable class tile.
- This opens the Class Detail page, which displays your class's current level. The very first time you teach the class, the level will default to the first level; otherwise, the level will be the one you most recently taught.
Click the Go To (Level #) button. This opens the Class Level Overview page. Do one of the following:
If you want to... Then... Teach the level that's displayed
Check that your Display Method is your desired method, then click Begin Level.
Choose a different level to teach
(perhaps based on placement assessment results)A. Click Change Level in the top right corner of the page; then select a new level.
B. Click Begin Level.
- Once you're in the lesson, click the arrow to start flipping through the slides and teaching your lesson.
- Click Next Step to move from one step to another.
In SS1 and SS2, the Next Step button is to the left of the Slide Controller.
In Secondary 1, the Next Step button is above the Slide Controller to the right.
To start a teaching session from the Product Home page:
- Log in to teacher.imaginesonday.com.
- From the Teaching Dashboard, click on the desired product in the Products panel on the right-hand side.
You're taken to the Product Home page: from here, click Select in the tile of the class you wish to teach.
This opens the Class Level Overview page. Do one of the following:
If you want to... Then... Teach the level that's displayed
Verify your Display Method is correct, then click Begin Level.
Choose a different level to teach

B. Click Begin Level.
- Once you're in the lesson, click the arrow to start flipping through the slides and teaching your lesson.
