Both Teachers and Administrators can deactivate a class. The instructions below are for teachers.
Classes cannot be deleted, but you can set a class’s status to Inactive or Archived to deactivate it and hides any assigned students. This is done by editing the class's status on the Class Detail page.
Recommendation
Classes should be deactivated when they are not being actively taught. They should be archived if they will never be taught again.
To deactivate a class:
- Log in to Sonday System Digital at teacher.imaginesonday.com.
-
Access the Class Detail page of the class you wish to edit. Do so in one of the following ways:
Starting Point Steps Dashboard Click Details in the tile of the applicable class. Profile menu A. From the drop-down menu by your name in the top right corner of the dashboard, select Manage Classes.
B. In the list of classes that opens, click Details in the applicable row.
- In the Class Detail page, click Edit in the Class Information section.
- Set the class's status to either Inactive or Archived.
-
Click Submit.
You will receive a confirmation message.
Additional Information:
By default, inactive and archived classes will not be visible anywhere in the system. If you want to view or edit inactive or archived classes, you must first set the Show Inactive Content? and/or Show Archived Content? fields in your teacher profile to Yes.
Once your Digital Settings are set to Yes in these fields, the word "Inactive" or "Archived" will appear in parentheses next to any applicable classes on your Manage Classes page.
