Both Teachers and Administrators can create classes in Sonday System Digital. Click on the tab applicable to your role to get started.
To create a new class:
- Log in to Sonday System Digital at teacher.imaginesonday.com.
- From the dropdown menu by your name in the top right corner of the dashboard, select Manage Classes.
- Click Create Class.

Provide the requested information. Required fields are indicated by an asterisk (*); however, all required fields except Class Name are auto-populated with a recommended default value.
Use the table below to learn more about each field:Field Description Default Value Class Name Create a unique class name to differentiate this class from other classes. None Class ID Optional field. Use if needed to keep track of the class ID as assigned by your school. None Class Type Select which product you will be using with this class, or, if you already have more than one product to assign to this class or you expect you will move from one product to another mid-year, select Multi-Product Class.
Caution
Once you have selected Multi-Product Class as the Class Type, you cannot change the class back to a single-product class. However, you will be able to edit the class and select your Preferred System and Preferred Essentials so the system can display current level and next lesson information on the Class Detail page.
The single Class Type options are:
- SS1 = Sonday System 1
- SS2 = Sonday System 2
- EK = Essentials Grade K
- E1 = Essentials Grade 1
- E2 = Essentials Grade 2
- E3 = Essentials Grade 3
- E4 = Essentials Grade 4
- E5 = Essentials Grade 5
- VOC = WinVocab

There is not a digital version of the Let's Play Learn (LPL) product.
Multi-Product Class Roster Type Select a type of roster for this class.
- Select Students to enable tracking of session history, student attendance, and assessments. You must also select Students if you wish to use the Follow Along display option with this class.
- Select List Only to enter students’ names without enabling any student data tracking. This is useful if you only need to remember which students are in a class, but do not need to track any other data or history.
- Select None to disable the ability to list any students in the class.
Students Grade Level A specific Grade Level is required if the Class Type = WinVocab. If you are using WinVocab and the Class Type = Multi-Product, the class will automatically be assigned to the WinVocab word list for the selected grade level.
For all other Class Types, you can leave the Grade Level N/A if you desire.
N/A School Year In Sonday System Digital, each academic year ends June 1. Keep the default value of N/A if your school year ends after June 1. N/A Class Color This will help differentiate between classes on your dashboard if you have more than one class. Some teachers name the class according to the color they chose. Gray Schedule Optional field. This information helps you easily keep track of your classes and appears in the Class Detail page for each class. None -
At the bottom of the page, click Create Class Now.
The Class Detail page opens and shows much of the information you just entered. The system has automatically generated a unique Follow Code for this class, which you will need if you have selected the Follow Along student display option.
Tip
Shorten your Follow Code and make it more memorable/easier for students to type by clicking Edit in the Class Information section.

Click Edit in the Students section. Return to your list of classes/Add more classes Click Back to Classes in the top right corner of the page.
- Log in to admin.imaginesonday.com and select a License Group if you are assigned to more than one.
- Select the Manage Classes tile, or, from the drop-down menu by your name in the top right corner of the screen, select Classes.
- Click Create Class.
