Marking a word as taught/untaught in WinVocab

In WinVocab, you can move words between the Taught Words and Untaught Words lists. You can also reteach a previously taught word (without first marking it as untaught.)

 Recommendation

Since marking a word as untaught erases its lesson history, only mark the word as untaught if you did not teach it. If you taught it and want to teach it again, keep the word on the taught list and reteach it from there, and you'll have a record of each time you teach it.

Marking a word taught

  1. Every time you click Download Teacher PDF from the Lesson Detail page in WinVocab, it automatically considers the word taught and moves it to the Taught Words list.

     Notes

    • You may need to refresh your browser to see the word under Taught Words.
    • The Taught Words panel also lists the lesson's activity and the date you taught it.

    • Click View Lesson History from this panel if you want to access the PDFs for these lessons.

Marking a word untaught

If you wish to mark a word as untaught (for example, if you have clicked Download Teacher PDF without teaching the word), follow the steps below.

 Caution

Marking a word as untaught deletes the word from the class's Lesson History and Session History.

  1. From the Lesson Details page, click on the applicable word in the Taught Words panel.
