WinVocab provides access to one vocabulary word and accompanying class activities for each day of the school year, totaling 180 mini vocabulary lessons. Word lists are grade-appropriate and customized for the class's grade level. The curriculum spans from Grades K–5.
Each vocabulary word includes:
- An age-appropriate definition
- The part(s) of speech
- Synonyms and antonyms, if applicable
- An example sentence using the word.
An example word from Grade 1.
You have the option to choose the word of the day from a list of Untaught Words and can also choose the corresponding activity that students will complete in order to practice the word. The WinVocab mini lessons include PDFs with activity instructions for both you and your students.
Tools the teacher needs:
- Whiteboard and markers, or smart board
- Printer and paper
- Dice (for the "Roll the Die" activity)
Tools the students need:
- Student notebook
- Pen or pencil
