Administrators can publish announcements on the Teacher Dashboard to share important news, reminders, or updates.
To send announcements to teachers:
- Log in to Sonday System Digital at admin.imaginesonday.com.
Access the Admin Panel - Announcements page in one of the following ways:
Starting Point Steps Admin Dashboard Select the Manage Announcements tile. Profile menu From the drop-down menu by your name in the top right corner of the dashboard, select Announcements.
- In the top right corner of the Announcements page, click Add New.
Fill in the required information and then click Add Announcement at the bottom of the page.
Here is a further description of each field:
Field Description Announcement Content The message you want to send to teachers. It is limited to 500 characters. Priority The urgency of the message. Important messages will have a yellow caution symbol, while Urgent messages will have a red caution symbol. (If the priority is Normal, no symbol is used.) Visibility dates Use the calendar icons to select the Visible from date (a.k.a. the start date) and the Visible Through date (a.k.a. the end date). The message will start at 12:01 a.m. Central time on the start date unless it is today's date, in which case it will start immediately upon clicking Add Announcement. The message will be taken down at 11:59 p.m. Central time on the end date. Notes
- Users are not sent email notifications for announcements.
- The announcements display on the teacher portal only, not the administrator portal, for the applicable license group.

Admin view:
Once you click Add Announcement, you are returned to the Manage Announcements table.
Priority levels are indicated in the Type column:
- Messages with Normal priority have no icon in the Type column and no special background color.
- Important messages have a yellow exclamation mark in the Type column and a yellow background.
- Urgent messages have a red exclamation mark in the Type column and a red background.
From this table you can also modify or remove the message, if needed, using the Edit and Delete buttons in the Action column.
Teacher View:
The announcement will be visible to teachers when they sign in to their accounts during the visibility date range.
