ClassLink is a third-party service that connects your district's Student Information Systems (SIS) with Imagine Learning's Imagine Sonday System Digital products.
ClassLink provides these services:
-
Roster creation for Sonday System Digital products: ClassLink synchronizes class, student, teacher, and administrator roster data with your district SIS and uploads it to Imagine Learning using an SFTP connection or the OneRoster 1.1 API format. Administrators determine what roster data is shared with Imagine Learning.
Note
Your Customer Success Manager (CSM) must promote at least one administrator as the Primary Administrator manually inside the digital platform after the roster has been sent to Imagine Learning.
- Single Sign-On (SSO) teacher access to Sonday System Digital products: ClassLink provides Imagine Learning with teacher identity information for Single Sign-On (SSO). Single Sign-On allows your teachers to log in to ClassLink and automatically access Sonday products from the ClassLink Launchpad without having to log in separately to teacher.imaginesonday.com.
- As a reminder, there is no student login directly to Sonday products, so SSO access is not applicable to students.
- For the time being, administrators must continue to log in via admin.imaginesonday.com until SSO can be made available to them in the future.
Note
You can use ClassLink for roster creation without using it for teacher SSO if you prefer.
To configure ClassLink for roster creation and/or SSO:
- Contact your Imagine Learning Customer Success Manager (CSM) to let them know you'd like to integrate with ClassLink.
- Work with the Imagine Learning Experience Operations team to make sure that you configure ClassLink correctly to work with Imagine Sonday System Digital products.
- Use the ClassLink Roster Server Console to configure ClassLink to export your roster data:
- Set up permissions to share roster data with Imagine Learning.
- Set up an SFTP connection or OneRoster 1.1 API connection to the Imagine Learning file server.
- SFTP Connection
- In the File Details section, choose the OneRoster export template.
- In the Schedule Details section, choose the days and time that you want to export the data.
- OneRoster API connection.
- Provide the Application Key, Application Secret, and API URL to your Technical Systems Engineer during the Kickoff Call.
- They will set up the data pull on Imagine Learning's end.
Now your roster data can be securely uploaded to Imagine Learning.
-
If you're using ClassLink for SSO, use the ClassLink Management Console to assign Imagine Learning products to teachers.
Now when teachers click a product icon on the ClassLink LaunchPad, they are automatically logged in to Sonday System products.
Caution
Your district SIS is the authoritative source for your synced data. When you sync data from your district SIS with Sonday System Digital products, it overrides any previously synced data.
It also overrides manual changes made inside the digital platform. For example, if you archive a class, student, or teacher manually, they will be added back during the next sync if the change is not also made in the file that is shared with Imagine Learning. For this reason, we recommend making changes only in the files.
