Viewing the Classes report in the Sonday System digital platform

The Classes report in Imagine Sonday System Digital allows you to view data points such as number of sessions, session duration averages, and attendance rates averages for each class on the digital platform. You can also drill down to see more information such as students in each class and the dates each level was first and last taught.

 Permissions

Only administrators can access this report.

 Note

Data displays based on the academic year from July 1st through June 30th. When you view a report, it will incorporate information from July 1st through yesterday. Today's data is not included.

To access and interpret the Classes report:

  1. Log in to admin.imaginesonday.com and select a License Group if you have access to more than one.
  2. From the Dashboard, click the Classes Report tile (or select Classes Report from the drop-down menu at the top of the page).

  3. This will take you to the Classes Report page. All classes with any activity since July 1st of the current school year are listed, sorted by type (product).

     Note

    The report defaults to the current academic year, but if you have usage from previous years, you can select a different academic year in the top right corner of the report.

  4. The fields in this high-level summary of classes are as follows: 

    Term/Field Description
    Students Number of active students currently enrolled in the class.
    Sessions Total number of sessions conducted across all teachers for this class.
    Active Mos Total number of months where at least one session was taught.
    Avg Sess/Mo The average count of sessions conducted during active months.
    Active Wks Number of weeks where at least one session was taught.
    Avg Sess/Wk The average count of sessions conducted during active weeks.
    Avg Dur The average duration of each session in the class, in minutes and seconds.
    Avg Attend The average rate (percentage) of student attendance in each session for the current school year.
  5.  Click Report to view more detailed information on a particular class.

  6. The Class Detail Report opens with three sections: Class information, a Students section, and a Level Stats section.

     On the left side, you'll find information such as class type, preferred Imagine Sonday System product(s), grade level, and Follow Code. 

    • Click the Primary Teacher's name to view their Teacher Detail page, which shows their digital settings, assigned products, classes, and students.
    • Click Show Primary Teacher Detail Report to view session counts and attendance rates per product, as well as class statistics.

    The right side of this portion of the report includes the total number of sessions, average session duration, average sessions per week/month, and average student attendance.

    This section of the report lists each student and their attendance rate. Click Detail in the rightmost column to open the Student Detail page for an individual student.

    Level Stats

    The Level Stats lists the product, the first and late dates the class worked on a given level in that product, and the number of sessions per level. For Essentials, the number of sessions will typically be one per lesson. However, for Sonday System 1 and 2, the class will likely spend several sessions at the level. 

    Click View in the rightmost column to view the class's session history for a given level.
     

  7. To leave the detailed report and return to the summary information, click Classes Report at the top of the page.
