The Preview display option is defined by the absence of any way to display student content digitally during a lesson. While the other display options (New Window and Follow Along) each provide an enlarged view of the cards, word lists, and other student-facing content for a lesson, which can be displayed to students in various ways, the Preview option keeps only the instructor view. The student content will be displayed only in miniature in the Slide Controller.
This display option can be used for previewing a lesson when you don't need student content to display, or for using the digital teacher interface to track lesson data (attendance, lesson duration, new material taught, etc.) while using print materials to display lesson content to students.
Preview can be chosen from the Display Methods section of the lesson screen, including on the Overview page before the lesson begins. You can change the display method at any time during a lesson.
It can also be enabled under Digital Settings in My Profile if it is the default display setting you prefer to use.
