The timer feature is a countdown timer that appears in the top of the Slide Controller to help you pace your lessons and devote the allotted time to each step.
The functionality is the same in all programs, but the user interface (UI) is slightly different in Secondary 1 compared to the other programs. Click the tab below for the program you're using.
To use the timer:
-
First, make sure the timer is enabled in the Digital Settings portion of your teacher profile.
-
When you begin a session, a timer with the time allotment for the current step will display at the top of your Slide Controller. The countdown will start once you click the forward arrow to advance past the step's title slide.
Note
You can also start the timer manually by clicking the play button next to the time.
- Once the timer has started counting down, you can pause it with the pause button or reset the current step’s full time allotment with the undo/rewind button.
- The timer automatically resets to the appropriate time allotment at each new step. If you go over the allowed time, the timer turns red.
